We are pleased to announce the creation of the new John Moore
Electrical Industry Assistance Fund. Many of you know John and
know that he established Moore Electric Supply in 1975. In 1995
Moore Electric Supply was purchased by Hughes Supply, which has
recently become HDSupply. John retired in 2001 and it has become
his passion to help those in need. He has graciously provided
the funds to start the electrical industry assistance fund.
The fund's goal is to help individuals and families in the electrical
industry in the Carolinas who have experienced a loss, injury,
or life changing event. The fund will initially be funded by John,
but companies and individuals who would like to give back to the
electrical industry are welcome to give tax deductible donations
to the fund. Donations can also be made in memory or in honor
of someone. A special card will be sent to your friend or their
family in recognition of your gift.
If you know someone that needs assistance or you would like to
make a donation or if you would like more information, call Kendall
Parker at 704-365-4016 or e-mail her at kparker@carolinaseca.org.
Applications will be considered by a committee appointed by the
Board of Directors. All efforts will be made to accommodate your
request, but assistance is not guaranteed.
Many thanks for the
generous and thoughtful supporters to date:
