CECA - 2007 Apprentice Contest

23rd Annual NC Department of Labor Electrical Apprentice Contest

Held at the NC State Fair each fall. CECA was well represented with apprentices from Watson Electrical Construction,
Starr Electric Company, Hinson Electric and Bryant-Durham Electric Company

CECA Member Apprentices took 5 of the top 10 Places

Kent Barfield, of Starr Electric with his wife Marsha, and her son, Kevin Hartley. Kevin is also employed by Starr Electric and he placed 2nd in the NC Apprentice Contest.	Kevin Barrett from Starr Electric, Greensboro	Commissioner of Labor, Cherie Berry presents First Place to Michael Claar of Watson Electrical. As the winner, Michael won numerous prizes including a generator donated by National Power and cash and other items.	Robert Alan Cash works during the hands-on portion of the contest.
Kevin Hartley won 2nd place in the contest. Steven Troxler, NC Commissioner of Agriculture and Cherie Berry, NC Commissioner of Labor, presented the prizes	1st Prize in the Contest was a generator donated by National Power.
